In-Person Workshops

Compassion Project is working to create meaningful opportunities for ongoing learning during the pandemic. We have made the difficult decision to stop all in person training until we are in a position to safely return to the classroom.

Please check this page regularly. We will be updating and sharing online courses, resources, and bursary opportunities in the coming weeks.

RELAXING THE BODY, AWAKENING THE HEART
with Dillon Cherrett

In these movement-based classes, attention will be paid to release muscle tension employing a specialized ball rolling technique. This practice has significant therapeutic benefit, releasing physical pain and discomfort, greatly improving flexibility, while developing strategies that can be practiced at home. These classes are ideal for health and social service practitioners with soreness and stiffness in their neck and shoulders, hamstrings, lower back, upper back, hips, hip flexors and feet. Balls are provided.

We hope to make these classes available online beginning in the fall – stay tuned!

CONNECTION IN LEADERSHIP
with Jennifer Kilimnik and Andrew Terhoch

This restorative session is designed to introduce some basic mindfulness and self-care practices that can be used in everyday life. We will also explore how to respond when managing complex and demanding situations. Some we encounter include: scarcity of resources, time, and tools, stress that impacts work/life balance, burn out, self-judgement, and other common human experiences.

As with so many situations we navigate in our daily lives, change often begins from within. The day is designed to provide time to be present, release expectations and nurture our capacity to respond in all areas of our lives.

We are in the process of transitioning this training to the online format. Check back for dates and registration details.
