A Remedy for Burnout: from Broken to Buoyant
Join us for this interactive presentation where we debunk the myth that burnout results only from personal failure and weakness and we explore tools to transform personal burnout.
Burnout, in our post-COVID world, has become an epidemic. The medical arena and caring professions have not been spared, not when five out of ten physicians report grappling with it.
Helping and Caring are no ordinary vocations, not when it demands from its practitioners, competence, compassion, and empathy. Compassion fatigue is not uncommon. Going unchecked, burnout has detrimental effects on client care and practitioners’ personal lives—it’s not only bad for individuals but also for the organization.
In this interactive presentation, we debunk the myth that burnout results only from personal failure and weakness. Research shows that leadership, the workplace, work itself, teams, and individuals all play a role—and that all the role players must be involved in reversing, treating, and preventing burnout. We explore tools to transform personal burnout. Burnout is not the end—there is more.
