Community Initiatives

In addition to the amazing work done by our network members, Réseau Compassion Network responds to specific and pressing needs through its own projects and initiatives, and through the provision of important program support.

At Réseau Compassion Network, we remain focused on developing responses that provide meaningful outcomes for people in Manitoba who are facing barriers related to the four factors of complex poverty: employment and income, holistic wellbeing, social exclusion and housing.

To do so, we:

  • Engage the capabilities and expertise of our network organizations;
  • Build relationships with other community partners who can help us with our strategy;
  • Refine our ability to think through challenges.

To address complex poverty, our responses will focus on people who are:

  • experiencing homelessness and/or who are precariously housed;
  • living with mental health concerns and addictions;
  • frail or elderly who are isolated or abandoned;
  • women experiencing various forms of violence;
  • living with developmental disabilities and autism;
  • new Canadians and refugees.

Réseau Compassion Network is currently involved in the following initiatives and projects:

  1. Clan Mothers Healing Village
  2. Les suites Marion
  3. Huddle
  4. McLaren Hotel
  5. St. Benedict Monastery
Youth and Counsellor Talking

We make space to see and know each person we care for, so that we can better understand their situation and their needs.
