Health Care Ethics Service

In the complex and ever-changing world of health and human services, Réseau Compassion Network is dedicated to a strong ethics support across the continuum of care provided by our Network organizations.

Katarina Lee-Ameduri, Director of Ethics, Clinical Ethicist, St. Boniface Hospital and Réseau Compassion Network, supports patients, families and staff as they navigate situations while centering patients’ wishes and personal beliefs. Below are a selection of resources for staff, families and patients.

Ethics Education Series

Free, virtual ethics education presentations are offering several times a month on topics such as decision-making, end-of-life care, reproduction, long-term care, acute care and palliative care situations, as well as many others.

To explore all the topics, and register to attend a session, please visit the Health Care Ethics Service website.

Ethics Resources

Ethical decisions are made every day in health and social services and most staff, patients and loved ones do not need help in making these decisions. However, when conflicts or difficult questions arise, ethics can support the decision-making process. Learn more about ethics and its guiding principles by clicking here.
