Dignity Should Never Be Out of Reach.
In our community, there are people doing their best to get through each day – often without stable housing, reliable income, or consistent support.
Some live with mental health challenges or substance use, often facing stigma, sometimes without anyone to turn to. What they need most isn’t judgment or barriers. It’s access. Privacy. Care.
Through Réseau Compassion Network, community donations support vital programs offered by our member organizations, including an innovative initiative at St. Boniface Hospital. Our Healthbox, the first of its kind in a Canadian acute care setting – provides a quick, judgment-free, low-barrier way to access harm reduction supplies, 24/7, even for those who may only come to the hospital in moments of crisis.
What is Our Healthbox?
This discreet, vending machine-style resource offers free, essential health and wellness supplies – healthy snacks, hygiene items, first aid, menstrual products, HIV self test kits, injection kits, and life-saving naloxone. For many, it’s the only place they can access these basics safely, respectfully and at no cost. For some, it becomes a first step toward stability, connection to health and social services, and potential recovery.
People who use Our Healthbox tell us it helps them feel seen, safe, and cared for. It reduces harm, prevents illness, and restores dignity during periods of instability.
Your donation to Réseau Compassion Network assists in keeping Our Healthbox stocked and accessible, and supports the initiative to ensure it remains a trusted, nonjudgmental resource for those who rely on it.
Everyone deserves safety, respect, and compassion.
Give today, help those in need.
